The Surprise project!

So there are a handful of people who know what this is and who it is for. So I will be doing updates periodically. Soon enough you will see what it is. I'm excited! This is going to be awesome. I am using 4 strands of Lion Brand's Pound of Love held together and knitting on US 11. I started with a crochet loop cast on and CO 8 stitches. There is 2 balls of Pound of Love. This will be my largest project!

2nd scarf done!

Finally finished it! Yes. It has been knitted, weaved in strays, tied fringe (my first fringe), hand washed, blocked (my first time blocking!), taken pictures of, now posting and will be delivering very soon! 58 rows including BO, 59 including long tail cast on. I chose to bind off in pattern. So 600 stitches long * 59 rows = 35400 stitches to make this scarf. WOW! The scarf is so much softer after the wash! Amazing! Next project will be posting soon...I already started it.

My life is a tangled ball of yarn

My life is a tangled ball of yarn. Not just any yarn, more like a ball of 100% merino wool, multicolored. With pinks, purples, reds, oranges, golds, greens, blues, and browns. (More pinks, purples, and reds with some greens and browns...happy) A happy colored yarn (Machine wash on delicate, and line dry). I am mesmorized by the bright variegated colors, some not so bright, but life isn't always joyful.  (Not every ball of yarn is the same, some are more colorful, and some maybe more tangled than mine). Every ball has a beginning and an end. My yarn may have some knots, and be pieced together in some places. Regardless, my life is a beautiful tangled ball of yarn.

Test from my phone

My dog Chevy is a ham. (I really like this phrase, no seriously... I use it on the dog, and all 4 of my kids... and other peoples kids, dogs, pets, significant others. But really I hate ham. Yuck. My dad when I was little would cook it with Orange Juice or Sunny D. Most people who like ham would love the citrus flavor. But me, no! I much rather have turkey! That's another phrase that is funny. Turkey. He's a real turkey. Or are you chicken? Beef Cake... (That's an old one, that brings me back to Save by the Bell. When A.C. Slater was the hottest jock bad boy out there.) Why do we call people or pets food names? Are we going to start calling people filet minon?) He makes us laugh and really truly is funny.

Oops...

Here are the frog pictures.

Halloween 2010

So I veered away from my scarf project for 24 hours this weekend, to make Chevy a costume for his first Halloween. As you can see he was a Frog. It sure turned out awesome. :D He got so many compliments and laughs. I will be making another "To humiliate the dog" hat, but he'll be a deer with antlers. I also will be leaving holes for his ears so it'll stay on better.
